Backed by the experience gained from working with other Disability cycling groups, it is our intention to get adults with a disability out cycling, for exercise and well being.

Your first visit will involve a fitment during which we will assess your, or your client's, cycling needs, with matching to a suitable bike. This will enable getting out on one of our two group rides, of about 3.5 miles, supported by our volunteers who pilot our rear steer tandems, tandem trikes, trike tagalongs and our wheelchair tandem.

We also have low, step over solo bikes, for those who we assess as capable to safely ride solo in the group and a handcycle for anyone unable to pedal conventionally.

Some people with a disability want to ride their own bike in the safety of our group. That's no problem and as long as we are satisfied the bike is roadworthy, you are very welcome to do this.

Clients who attend with carers will need to be accompanied by their carers on the ride.
We have low, step over bikes for carers to use, although for carers who are unable to cycle, we can sometimes accommodate them on our tandems or tagalongs, so that they can be with their client on the ride.

Each of our rides is conducted as a group. The minor junctions on route are controlled by our lead and rear cycling volunteers. All of our volunteers will wear 'hi-viz' tabards and there are Cycle Event signs out on our route to warn the small amount of road traffic of our presence.

All clients and carers will be required to wear a cycle crash helmet, either their own or one of our group ones. They will also be required to wear a 'hi-viz' tabard, either their own or one which we will supply.

There will be a First Aider and First Aid kit on every ride.

We have a breakdown system to deal with unforeseen mechanical issues and return people to the ride starting point e.g. Earsham Village Hall. There is also a phone number for emergencies.

We have a reservation system for our bikes. After your first visit and assessment, when you know what you or your client needs, you can then reserve your ride sessions online.

A donation of by is requested for each client ride. This helps pay for our third party liability insurance, maintenance of our bikes and rental of our operating venues.

You can check either here or on our Facebook page that we are running; we will run unless the weather is especially inclement, in which case we will announce that we are not running by 8:00am on the day of the ride.

Our service is open to all adults from 18 years of age and our group aims to be totally non-discriminatory.

As a group we want to get people with any disability out cycling. As the group's founder, I have helped people with many disabilities to get cycling; from those with learning disability, learning difficulties and cerebal palsy, to those in stroke recovery, post-operative recovery and people with sight loss.

We want everyone to enjoy the benefits of cycling. The feeling of the wind in your hair, the sun on your face and the feeling of overwhelming good health that a fun activity so often brings.

Finally and most of all, our volunteers want to help people enjoy cycling...

We offer cycling to any adult with a disability, on quiet country roads in South Norfolk.

From our main base at Earsham Village Hall, in the Waveney Valley...

...we aim to help adults, with any disability, enjoy cycling in the safety of a group, alongside trained & experienced cyclists, who will provide one to one supervision.

We have a range of bikes, including rear steer tandems, tandem trikes, trike tagalongs, wheelchair tandems and a handcycle and we are confident that following an assessment of your needs and a bit of fitting, we have bikes that will get most people out cycling.

All our rides currently start and finish at Earsham Village Hall, where there is ample parking, toilets, shelter and tea & coffee making facilities. For those for whom the ride has helped build up a healthy appetite, Grumpy's Cafe is only 0.4 miles away.

We run all year round, currently Mondays, Fridays are available, from 10:30am to 1:00pm, unless the weather is especially inclement. We typically have two group rides per day, which may become three as we expand.
